Custom issues integration

Feature Request

The feature of having issues connected to tasks is really appealing but it is only available through Linear and Jira.

You won’t make your company switch their issues manager and it would be hard to support them all so I’m asking for a way to custom create issues through the API.

There is an option to just create tasks with task description and auto add a link but the synced issue UI is better than that. I would like to leave the task description and breakdown for my own notes etc.

    Thanks for the request! This makes sense and we're looking into it. One question would really help us build the right thing:

    What's the core of what you need?

    Option A: a linked issue card. You create a task through our API with an issue ID (like PROJ-123), title, description and a link. Locu then shows it the same way as Jira or Linear tasks: the issue ID badge, the issue description in its own card (your personal task notes stay separate), and a click to open the issue in your tracker.

    Option B: everything in A, plus statuses. The issue status is visible in Locu and your side can update it through the API. Possibly also the other direction, where completing the task in Locu updates the issue in your tracker, like our Linear integration does.

    Would Option A already cover what you're after, or are statuses a core part of it for you? And if statuses matter, is it enough to just see the current status, or do you also need to change it from Locu?

      I am only intersted in option A. Not a big deal for me to set it in development by myself and other statuses auto update in pull request flow.

      So option B optional but do not force it if u implement it.
