A direct integration with MS 365 / Outlook would be great. A lot of companies use the MS suite.A decent workaround is to publish the ICS of the Outlook calendar and subscribe to it in the Google account integrated with Locu, but a direct integration would always be nice :)

Hi Locu team, Thanks for building Locu. I have found it helpful for focus sessions and staying productive. I would like to suggest a new feature that could benefit users who are tracking personal behavioral patterns. Feature idea: • A simple dual counter that lets users track both urges (for example, moments of temptation or distraction) and failures or slips throughout the day. • The counter could be accessible from the main UI or via a keyboard shortcut. • An always-on-top or unobtrusive overlay mode would make it easy to use alongside other work without switching screens. This would let users measure internal progress patterns and see trends over time. This complements Locu’s focus and execution tracking features. Thanks for considering this request. I think it would be a valuable addition for users looking to track personal progress beyond work metrics.

With longer lists of tasks - it would be nice to fold the different sections down. I think it would be beneficial to have some kind of documentation up earlier. Onboarding something new can be daunting by itself, doing it without a means for clarification can quickly lead to confusion / frustration.Even specific design choices can look likes mistakes, until justified / clarified. ie:<blockquote>‘Focus Modes’ or blocking access / device functionality could look like a bug, if it isn’t known to the user that it was intentional, for a reason or a direct use case. </blockquote>Misunderstandings like this can be mitigated via App Documentation (like the Help Menu) or a Wiki as part of your site.

I saw your product on Reddit and I'm also trying hard to learn how to use it.I have two feature questions: are these something you would consider developing?1. Does Tasks have a filter for Projects?I understand that you can see tasks within each Project, but on the Tasks page I think users could more intuitively see whether each task is one of today's tasks.And maybe some tasks are my side projects, and I don't want tasks from those side projects to interfere with my work.2. Estimated time for each taskI can understand treating each session as a focused time block to complete a task, but sometimes I also want to know whether the time I spent on a particular task matched my expectations.Sometimes only in retrospect can I determine which tasks in that session took more time than necessary.Above are some of my questions. Add ability to plan your sessions without specifying task, but rather project or tag. When planning I need ability to block time for specific project rather than a specific task. While in the session, tasks list could be filter for tasks based on project session.

There are a lot of weird rough edges when working with the activity log, especially when trying to retroactively modify activities:<ul><li>Can’t “switch to meeting” after the end of the scheduled time of a meeting</li><li>Can’t modify start time of a meeting while it is ongoing</li><li>Can’t drag the end of an activity to make it &lt;4 minutes</li><li>If you forget to end a session at the end of the day, when you open locu the next day you can’t easily set the end time of the session<ul><li>You can delete the session completely but then you lose real data from the session start time and possible task sessions within the session</li><li>You can drag the beginning of the task session before midnight, then go to the previous day, and drag it to the actual end time, then do that again but for the session</li><li>Both this and previous would be most easily fix with a dialog where you can just type the activity duration or the start/end time</li></ul></li><li>Modifying the start/end of the session moves the task sessions inside the session.<ul><li>This almost never makes sense. The task sessions don’t really ever mean “this task was worked on for 15 minutes, 12 minutes after the session was started”. It means “this task was worked on from 10:30 to 10:45”.</li><li>The only time I want changes in the session to affect the task sessions, is when the task session no longer fits inside the session. Then, the task session should be truncated to fit inside the session.</li></ul></li><li>If I move the start or end time of a task session, if it overlaps with another task session, I want it to push that task session out of the way (not by moving the task session, see above, but by truncating whichever end is overlapped)<ul><li>Right now, I have to update the start of one task, then the end of the other task to match.</li></ul></li><li>Time that is both in a session and in a meeting is double-counted in the day total work time</li></ul>Really like being able to retroactively see my task log, but I do a lot of context switching and the UX of the activities pane is the main pain point for me in Locu. Locu's focus on professional users and developers is a major asset. To make the platform essential for complex workflows, it would be important to introduce a Public API. An API would allow users to connect Locu with various tools, including AI assistants and custom scripts. This deep integration is key—once developers build their own connections, it makes the platform much stickier and harder to leave.Here are the two essential functions needed for the first version of the API: <h3>1. Add Task Endpoint</h3>This endpoint should allow users to programmatically create new tasks and place them directly into a specific project's backlog.<ul><li>Goal: Enables integration with AI assistants and external automation tools, instantly turning external data or ideas into actionable tasks within Locu.</li></ul><h3>2. Get Time Entries Endpoint</h3>This endpoint should allow users to retrieve recorded time entries from Locu.<ul><li>Goal: Makes it easy to sync time data with invoicing software or custom reports. The endpoint must support filtering by project and date range.</li></ul> This simple API would open up Locu to a lot more power users and significantly boost its demand within the developer community.

Locu Projects Enhancements

I’d love to have the ability to organize notes into folders. Right now, Locu notes are flat — and while it’s simple, it can get cluttered when working across multiple contexts. Folders would make it much easier to group related notes together, creating a lightweight structure that fits different use cases.Folders would also enable some “little hacks” in the app — letting users create their own custom structures or workarounds for missing features. It’s a flexible way to customize organization without adding complex options.My use case: I write notes related to different people. Currently, there’s no built-in way to group them logically, so I end up using naming hacks like “Person – John”, “Person – Lisa”, etc. With folders, this could be much cleaner.Solution: A simple approach could be to introduce a default folder called “Drafts”, where all new notes are automatically created. Users could then drag notes into custom folders (like “People”, etc.) to keep things organized. This would keep the experience intuitive while unlocking more flexibility for users who want to structure their notes their own way.

<ul><li>Editing task names<ul><li>If I’m writing up a lot of tasks and I make a typo or want to rewrite something, it’s not very pleasant to have to right-click and search for the Edit option. Single clicking a task IMO should allow to rewrite the name</li></ul></li><li>Replacing X with ←<ul><li>When I double clicked a task the first time and a new window appeared, it was a bit unintuitive to go back to the list of tasks by clicking the X in the top right corner.
