MS Outlook integration

A direct integration with MS 365 / Outlook would be great. A lot of companies use the MS suite. A decent workaround is to publish the ICS of the Outlook calendar and subscribe to it in the Google account integrated with Locu, but a direct integration would always be nice :)

Calendar view / Weekly planning

I am requesting weekly planning. Every weekly I plan my weekend with weekly summary. I would need feature helps me to plan future and summarize actual week. After week we might evaluate if everything was done or not with our summary for the week similar as for Today’s wrap up. Task planned for specific day would apear in today’s tasks. Weekly planning and weekly summary may be treated as task / event to schedule but it is not necessary. I would like to schedule irregular tasks for specific day view full week view and make summarize about my week, what went well, what not, what I did, what I did not, was I exhausted, did I sleep well, etc. I plan things need to be done.

Habbits / repetitive tasks

I am requesting a Habits feature, or in other words, support for recurring tasks. Habits are repetitive tasks that users can schedule throughout the week. For example, a user may create a habit such as "Read a business book for 3 hours every Monday" or "Go to the gym every two days." Each habit or recurring task can be assigned to a project, such as "Strategy & Operations Competence" or "Muscular Physique." Habits should be visible in different views, such as List view, and users should be able to create them from and Task Panel (Projects or All Tasks), and Today Panel. We might mark them as completed or not done / was not done (different status then to-do) for some reasons (lack of time, or different task wiht higher importance). Users should also be able to see habits measurements from the Insights Panel. In the left sidebar of the Task Panel, a dedicated Habits section could be placed above Projects and below Tasks. This would make habits easier to track.

Support for task priorities

At minimum show priority from linear directly in task list. (Important for planning phase) I would also benefit from simple priority system for internal Locu tasks.

Custom issues integration

The feature of having issues connected to tasks is really appealing but it is only available through Linear and Jira. You won’t make your company switch their issues manager and it would be hard to support them all so I’m asking for a way to custom create issues through the API. There is an option to just create tasks with task description and auto add a link but the synced issue UI is better than that. I would like to leave the task description and breakdown for my own notes etc.

Support read-only .ics calendar subscriptions

I work on several client projects that use Outlook calendars, and their internal IT policies block third-party apps from connecting to company accounts (no OAuth access for external apps). That means I can't connect these calendars to Locu directly. The workaround Outlook allows is a private .ics link (published calendar URL). It would be great if Locu could subscribe to .ics URLs as a one-way, read-only sync, so these events appear in my timeline and I can plan time blocks around them. What I'd need: Add a calendar by pasting an .ics URL Events shown read-only alongside my connected calendars Periodic refresh (e.g. every 15–30 minutes) Ability to add multiple .ics feeds, with a name/color for each This would let me see all my commitments in one place without breaking company security policies. Many consultants and freelancers working across multiple clients are likely in the same situation.

Improve Linear sub-issue import behaviour

When importing issues from Linear, parent issues and sub-issues are currently shown as a flat list with no visible hierarchy. This makes it hard to understand which issues belong together and adds friction when trying to mirror a Linear issue structure inside Locu What would help Show sub-issues nested or indented beneath their parent issue during import Allow importing all sub-issues automatically when a parent issue is imported Too Much Friction Right now, importing a parent issue with its related sub-issues is more manual than it should be. The current workflow (for me) feels too fragmented: Find each issue separately in the list Import issues one by one Manually reorganise them afterward in Locu

Timed Sessions for Subtasks / Breakdown Steps

Currently timed sessions can only be done with the top most / parent Tasks. This works fine though not being able to plan out sessions or track time for subtasks can be a pain point if your workflow is more granular.

Locu - Documentation / Wiki / Guides

I think it would be beneficial to have some kind of documentation up earlier. Onboarding something new can be daunting by itself, doing it without a means for clarification can quickly lead to confusion / frustration. Even specific design choices can look likes mistakes, until justified / clarified. ie: ‘Focus Modes’ or blocking access / device functionality could look like a bug, if it isn’t known to the user that it was intentional, for a reason or a direct use case. Misunderstandings like this can be mitigated via App Documentation (like the Help Menu) or a Wiki as part of your site.

Project filter for tasks and tasks Estimated time

Hello, thank you very much for your app. Recently I've been trying several focus and to-do productivity tools. I saw your product on Reddit and I'm also trying hard to learn how to use it. I have two feature questions: are these something you would consider developing? 1. Does Tasks have a filter for Projects? I understand that you can see tasks within each Project, but on the Tasks page I think users could more intuitively see whether each task is one of today's tasks. And maybe some tasks are my side projects, and I don't want tasks from those side projects to interfere with my work. 2. Estimated time for each task I can understand treating each session as a focused time block to complete a task, but sometimes I also want to know whether the time I spent on a particular task matched my expectations. Sometimes only in retrospect can I determine which tasks in that session took more time than necessary. Above are some of my questions. Thank you for developing this app — I wish you all the best with your work. 💯💯💯

Planned project sessions

Add ability to plan your sessions without specifying task, but rather project or tag. When planning I need ability to block time for specific project rather than a specific task. While in the session, tasks list could be filter for tasks based on project session.

Bug: All day events from my Calendar not updating

All day calendar events from my Apple Calendar not showing previous events. For example today is Monday, the Locu sidebar correctly shows my meetings/events for the day from my calendar but the top line (all-day event) is what was listed yesterday (Sunday’s all-day event)

Breaks are responsive to the calendar

If I finish a meeting early and a break is toggled, it should only be within the limit of my calendar and end before my next scheduled meeting. Example: Meeting 1: 11:30-12 Meeting 2: 12-1 If meeting 1 ends at 11:50, the break should only run for 10 minutes. Currently it appears to begin with a 20 minute interval.

Set number of working days

When working on a project for less than 5 days (or 7 when weekend is being checked), you will never reach your weekly goals as it stands. It would be great if one could set the number of working days and a weekly goal via the settings.

It would be great if app/website blockers could be made possible for windows. That would be serving the purpose of getting locu in the first place.

Foldable Tasks & Section Headers

With longer lists of tasks - it would be nice to fold the different sections down. For Example: I don’t need to reference the ‘Later’ tasks section all the time so this would help in visual declutter & streamlining UX. Tasks with Breakdown steps & notes would benefit from folding as well - seeing all the notes & steps for every task can feel a little too cluttered / dense, especially with extensive lists

Locu Public API

Locu's focus on professional users and developers is a major asset. To make the platform essential for complex workflows, it would be important to introduce a Public API. An API would allow users to connect Locu with various tools, including AI assistants and custom scripts. This deep integration is key—once developers build their own connections, it makes the platform much stickier and harder to leave. Here are the two essential functions needed for the first version of the API: 1. Add Task Endpoint This endpoint should allow users to programmatically create new tasks and place them directly into a specific project's backlog. Goal: Enables integration with AI assistants and external automation tools, instantly turning external data or ideas into actionable tasks within Locu. 2. Get Time Entries Endpoint This endpoint should allow users to retrieve recorded time entries from Locu. Goal: Makes it easy to sync time data with invoicing software or custom reports. The endpoint must support filtering by project and date range. This simple API would open up Locu to a lot more power users and significantly boost its demand within the developer community.

List of meeting notes

I use meeting notes a lot, but it’s hard to get back to them and make them actionable. It would be great to see a list of non-empty meeting notes so I can easily review all the notes I’ve taken during meetings. Thanks!

Automatically start Locu during startup

Hi, It would be great if Locu is able to start automatically during startup (runs in the background) and be able to bring it out by using a shortcut key.
